Jessie says,
My tenure on RG staff has been one of the best aspects of my life. I feel blessed to be so deep in the RG community and to have been given the opportunity to lead on so many levels. I am leaving my position because it is time for this young people’s organization to invest in a fresh Executive Director’s perspective, and for me to explore a new chapter of my life. I am ever grateful to work amongst a team of board, staff, and member leaders who can collaborate on a good transition for the organization. As a member and constituent with 5 years still left before I “age out,” I won’t be a stranger to RG!
This is a moment we want to celebrate Jessie’s leadership and all that she’s done for RG. We encourage you to share a farewell message or fond memory with her by emailing [email protected]
As we say goodbye to Jessie, we will simultaneously undertake the search for RG’s next Executive Director. Stay tuned for an official job announcement and more details about our search process, coming next week. The Board, with the help of a consultant, is putting together a Hiring Committee and Interview Panel that represent key perspectives and expertise on RG’s work and what we need in the next Executive Director, from a broad swath of our community. We hope you’ll join us in spreading the word about this position throughout your networks – we look forward to reviewing applications from candidates from across the social justice movement.
We are so excited about all that’s on the horizon at RG — from the upcoming Making Money Make Change in
With gratitude and excitement,
