Meg H.
Senior High Net Wealth Organizer
Meg joined Resource Generation in November 2025 as the High Net Wealth Organizer. She brings a background in organizing, community engagement, and transformational philanthropy, with experience in both North Carolina and Ohio. Most recently, Meg worked as a regional organizer for the ACLU of North Carolina, where she helped to establish the first organizing department, grow the volunteer base, and work in coalition to further civil rights and liberties for North Carolinians. Prior to that role, she worked for a philanthropic advising organization where she supported funders in developing and implementing strategies for their grantmaking—specifically focusing on justice-centered philanthropy and increasing support for grassroots movements and community-led organizations. Feeling disillusioned with the world of traditional philanthropy and curious to find an organization working to challenge and uproot the very systems that allow for massive wealth hoarding, Meg found a political home at RG. She is eager to bring her perspective from both the worlds of community organizing and philanthropy to support RG members in transformative redistribution, political education, and leadership development.
Outside of work, Meg is active in local organizing efforts across the Triangle. She recently participated in the Anne Braden Anti-Racist Organizer Training Program, which supports white organizers in becoming accountable, principled anti-racist change-makers through political education, leadership development, and grassroots fundraising training. She graduated magna cum laude from Ohio State University with a B.A. in public policy and economics. Based in Durham, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, singing with the Durham Labor Choir, reading outside, cooking, and hanging out with her cat, Soup.
