People of Color at Making Money Make Change (MMMC)
October 2-5, 2008 San Francisco, CA
CORE has been working with MMMC over the past two years to bring to the forefront the stories of young people of color with wealth and the reality of the racial wealth divide. This year’s highlights include keynote Meizhu Lui, (author of the book Color of Wealth) a number of workshops and a plenary focusing on intersections of race and class, and a people of color caucus.
Join us…if you want to help:

- Discuss how money affects relationships with family and friends.
Talk with other young people of color about issues of money, privilege, and giving
- Learn how the giving traditions of diverse cultures can contribute to the practice of social change philanthropy
- Support grass-roots groups that engage in community organizing and advocacy to change systems and strengthen communities.
- Create an action plan for how we can use our privilege and resources to help dismantle racism, poverty, injustice, and inequality.
CORE offers:
